How to compute a car's payload?

Payload Capacity (PC) = Gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) - Curb weight (CW)
GVWR = the maximum allowable weight of fully loaded vehicle.
GVWR includes
- the weight of the vehicle itself +
- all of the necessary fluids for operation (gasoline, diesel, oil and so on) +
- all the passengers +
- all the tools +
- any cargo

GVWR is calculated by its manufacturer & can be found in
- owner's manual or
- driver's door pillar, near the door latch or
- Web
CW = the vehicle weighs on its own.
CW includes
- a full tank of gas +
- all other fluids +
- all standard tools (spare tire, jack, etc)

CW doesn't include
- any cargo
- any passengers
Passenger's weight calc
- car manufacturers factor in 150 pounds (68 kilos)
- per person, per seating position
Payload List by Make/Model
